The GBCSA Convention and Exhibition - South Africa’s premier green building event took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 23 – 25 October.
The event provided access to the latest, cutting edge information and knowledge delivered by international and local thought leaders. The GBCSA Convention and Exhibition also presented optional Education Days. These pre-events offered detailed master classes, discussions and workshops related to green building and sustainabiliy, as well as one-on-one interaction with local and international thought leaders in this space.
Caesarstone, Lafarge & Plascon joined Ecospecifier at the exhibition.

Congratulations to all Board, Technical and general members on the successful launch of the Green Building Council of South Africa….and the more recent development of Green Star SA Office V1.
Ecospecifier is pleased to have launched in SA and to now be a member … we look forward to a long and fruitful association.
Ecospecifier in Australia was launched over 8 years ago around the same time as the Green Building Council of Australia and the close relationship we developed with the GBCAustralia has made implementation and application green buildings in Australia easier and faster for the whole industry.
When GBCAustralia launched Green Star in Australia and Government instrumentalities launched other programs, Ecospecifier launched our GreenRate Product Pre-assessment process for verifying products against both Green Star Technical Manual criteria and other Guidelines.
As GBCAustralia developed its Green Star system and tools, we developed assessment services to mirror industry needs and we now assess against all of their current Green Star tools.
We look forward to a similar progression and cooperation as GBCSA grows and develops new tools as we are sure it will.
