ENERGY

Ene: Conditional

Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining the conditional requirement by meeting the green house gas emissions 'benchmark' determined by the energy calculator.

Conditional

Ene-1: Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Product is likely to assist obtaining credits for designs that minimise greenhouse gas emissions associated with operational energy consumption. Credit points achieved are determined by the predicted % reduction of greenhouse gas emissions below the conditional requirement.

Ene-3 Note-1: Peak Energy Demand Reduction

Product is likely to assist in obtaining credits for reducing peak demand on energy supply infrastructure. One credit point is achieved if peak energy demand is actively reduced by 15%, or the difference between the peak and average demand does not exceed 40%. Two credit points are achieved if peak energy demand is actively reduced by 30%, or the difference between the peak and average demand does not exceed 20%.

Product may contribute as an individual component, in combination with other suitable components, in achieving Peak Energy Demand Reduction credits that complies, in whole or in part, with the prescribed requirements.

Ene-7: Unoccupied Areas

Product is likely to assist individually or in ocmbination with other products/systems in a project obtaining credit points as it helps to minimise or eliminate energy use of unoccupie dpaces. Credit points are acheived when 60% of the nominated area meets either of the following criteria; the building is Naturally Ventilated, the HVAC system can be automatically shut down or has a wider temperature control band or where 90% if the nominated area acheives the above criteria in order with prescribed requirements.

Ene-8: Stairs

Product is likely to assist in the development that facilitates the use of stairs. To obtain this credit the stairs should be available for use by the building users, highly visible, located within 5 m of the primary set of lifts or within 20m of a main entrance. Furthermore, at least 25% of the stairwell wall area should be exterior glazed, or have a Daylight Factor of at least 3.5, or be fully open to the interior on at least one side.
