Ene: Conditional Requirement
Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining credits by reducing operational energy consumption and maximising operational energy efficiency so that the predicted carbon emissions of the building are less than or equal to the predicted carbon emissions of the notational building in the same location established by the requirements of the Retail Centre v1 Energy Calculator and the Modelling Protocol Guide or fully comply with ASHRAE Advanced Energy Design Guide for Small Retail Buildings.

Ene-1: Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining credits for improvement in the operational energy consumption of a project. Credit points achieved are determined by the predicted percentage of greenhouse gas emissions reduction below the “standard practice benchmark”. One point is awarded for every 5% saving below the notional building level. This benchmark is determined by the Retail Centre v1 Energy Calculator.

Ene-1 Note 1: Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Daylight Harvesting
Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining credits for improvement in the operational energy consumption of a project. Credit points achieved are determined by the predicted percentage of greenhouse gas emissions reduction below the “standard practice benchmark”. One point is awarded for every 5% saving below the notional building level. This benchmark is determined by the Retail Centre v1Energy Calculator.
If product contributes to energy reductions through daylight harvesting, results must be obtained from appropriate modelling using local weather, and entered into the Lighting Energy Calculator.

Ene-1 Note 2: Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Passive Solar Design
Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining credits for improvement in the operational energy consumption of a project. Credit points achieved are determined by the predicted percentage of greenhouse gas emissions reduction below the “standard practice benchmark”. This benchmark is determined by the Retail Centre PILOT Energy Calculator.
When used in conjunction with passive solar design and thermal mass storage strategies to provide energy reductions, this product may assist in the achievement of this credit.

Ene-2: Electrical Energy Sub-metering
Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining credits as it contributes to the installation of energy sub-metering to facilitate management of energy consumption. Credit points are achieved where sub-metering is provided for substantive energy uses with a mechanism for monitoring consumption, and an additional point is achieved where sub-metering is provided separately for each tenancy, with an effective mechanism for monitoring.

Ene-2 Note 1: Electrical Energy Sub-metering
Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining credits as it contributes to the installation of energy sub-metering to facilitate management of energy consumption. Credit points are achieved where sub-metering is provided for substantive energy uses with a mechanism for monitoring consumption, and an additional point is achieved where sub-metering is provided separately for each tenancy, with an effective mechanism for monitoring.
Product may contribute as an individual component, in combination with other suitable components, in providing components of metering systems as described above.
